I'm very excited to announce that I have finally managed to launch my prints store! There are several of my favorite photos available, so feel free to take a look at them. However, what I'm even more excited about is that the whole idea has a good intention behind it. Maybe we can save the planet together?
I have been trying to launch an e-shop with my own printed photos for a long time. However, not only I wanted to fine-tune the photos to the finest detail, but my plans were also complicated by my work load and study load. The actual building of a platform to sell the photos also wasn't a piece of cake.
But in November 2022, I finally made it happen and anyone can now put some of my selected photos on their wall. The offer will expand over the coming months, so keep an eye on it. And if you don't want to miss anything, join my e-mail community and sign up for my newsletter.
A little moral dilemma
However, during the process of setting up the e-shop, I realized that almost all of the photographs I offer there were taken during my travels around the world. Traveling is a great thing, I enjoy it and it fulfills me in some ways, but I also realize that the concept of travel is not sustainable for the planet. Therefore, I started thinking about how to offset the carbon footprint I leave behind as I explore the world. Surprisingly, it didn't take me too long to find an appropriate solution.
I was immediately very excited about theprintspace, the company I chose to be the supplier of the printed photographs. Not only are they professionals in their field, but their printing process is also end-to-end carbon neutral. You can read more about how theprintspace approaches photo processing on their website. The eco-friendly approach to printing and distributing my products was one of the deciding factors for me in choosing this company, and I'm glad that the printing itself doesn't put too much of a burden on our planet.
However, I felt that such compensation was not sufficient and I wanted to do a bit more. Therefore, I decided that I will regularly donate a part of the proceeds from the sale of my prints to organizations that are focused on the restoration of nature and the protection of our planet. I think that's fair. Although it probably won't be a staggering amount of money in the beginning, I'm sure that together we can do great things. I'll surely keep you informed about that on my social media, so be sure to follow me there.
Even little things can make a big difference
So, with every purchase you support not only me, as a photographer who tries to put his heart into his work, but also the place where we live together. The Earth. The one and only in the endless universe. And that's what really counts! So thank you very much for your support. I believe that even this little environmental offset will help in the sustainability of our planet.
Have you already chosen your print? Take a look at my store!
Sidenote: I'm not sponsored by theprintspace in any way (sadly).
